Beef Tallow is rendered from beef fat, slowly melted down and strained until only the clean, creamy fat remains. It is one of the oldest balms people have known. When rendered well, tallow is pale, firm, and nearly odorless. It is solid at room temperature and softens and melts at about the temperature of skin, which gives tallow balms their distinctive feel.
