A soft, pale oil pressed from almonds, loved for its gentle glide and comforting feel.
A gentle, silky glide that makes oils and balms feel soft and easy on the skin.

Sweet Almond Oil is the gentle hand. The almond tree is the first to blossom at winter's end, flowering before its leaves arrive. In the Apothecary, it represents tenderness, early hope, and the courage to bloom before the season is certain.
Sweet Almond Oil is pressed from the kernels of the sweet almond, the same nut people have enjoyed as food for thousands of years. Almond trees were among the first cultivated trees in the ancient world, grown across the Mediterranean and the Middle East, and almond oil has been part of body care traditions in those regions for just as long.
Sweet Almond Oil is a light, silky oil used widely in body care. It glides easily across the skin, helping oils, balms, and lotions feel smooth and soft, and leaves a comfortable, conditioned after-feel. Its gentle nature and very mild scent make it one of the most popular carrier oils in the world, especially for massage.
Because it spreads so easily and absorbs at a comfortable pace, almond oil gives massage oils plenty of glide without leaving skin feeling greasy. In balms and body butters, it softens richer ingredients such as shea and cocoa butter, so they melt and spread more easily. In soap, it contributes to a creamy, conditioning lather.
Almond oil is also a wonderful base for infusing herbs and carrying fragrance, since its own scent is so soft that it lets other notes shine. It is one of the most hardworking, dependable oils in the Apothecary.
Note: sweet almond oil comes from a tree nut. Anyone with a nut allergy should check the ingredient list before use.
