Hungarian Lavender is prized for a fuller, sweeter scent than many lavenders, floral at heart with a warm herbal depth. Grown in the sunny plains of Hungary, it has a rounder, softer aroma than the sharper, more camphor-like lavenders, which is why perfumers and soapmakers have long sought it out.

It is the heart of our Sun & Moon rosemary-lavender castile soap, where it is used generously for a heavy, lingering lavender scent, and of our Sun & Moon oil. In the soap, it pairs with fresh rosemary so the bar smells bright when you first open it and settles into a calm floral note in the shower.
